In search of fungi @ Unstead

Unstead with the girls – October 23, 2022
Sara said she’d seen quite a few interesting fungi around the Unstead Nature Reserve so for my usual Sunday walk with Naima we decided to give it a go. Ingrid came too. There’s not a lot of parking but we found a spot next to the sewage farm. There were several people there looking for a black redstart that had been spotted. I didn’t have my binoculars so we didn’t try to find it.
We started off walking up the path towards the road to Bramley. There was not a lot of fungi along the path but quite a few different ones in the dark woodlands on either side, but the light was not great.
We then went into the nature reserve where we found a few more.
